Katy is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) and Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CAADC) serving adults in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Vanguard University of Southern California and spent several years working in Southern California in the fields of substance abuse and mental health before relocating to Michigan. Katy is also a trained Brainspotting practitioner and integrates this brain-body, trauma-informed approach into her work.
Katy works with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, codependency, self-esteem concerns, substance use and addiction, as well as major life transitions. She has a special interest in helping clients who feel stuck in emotional or relational patterns that no longer serve them—despite insight, effort, or prior therapy.
She believes therapy should feel safe, grounding, and collaborative. Many people want to know what to expect when they enter therapy, and Katy is intentional about creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported from the very beginning. She views therapy as a journey you don’t have to walk alone and works alongside her clients with warmth, curiosity, and care as they move through life’s challenges.
Katy understands that some of the most difficult relationships we have are often with ourselves. Her work focuses on helping clients develop healthier self-perception, strengthen relationships, and build a sense of internal safety, confidence, and wholeness. She is dedicated to helping clients reconnect with their inner strength and capacity to heal, empowering them to make healthy, conscious choices and create meaningful, lasting change.
